Summer ponies, hence the glare from the sun.

I wish summer would hurry up… I hardly ever get chances to take pics in the winter :(
I think she’s a chocolate flax colour? Not sure…
This is Penny, one of the few school ponies that has been at the barn longer than I have. She’s Shetland or Shetland x Welsh or something, and she’s super adorable. Too bad she’s a little devil in disguise sometimes. She’s the only horse or pony that has actually bitten me, not just nipped. It didn’t break the skin, but I had a super nasty bruise on my arm for a good week.
I used to ride Penny fairly often years ago, and between her and Toppy (also a pony) these are the two horses I’ve fallen off of the most. One second you’re riding, the next you’re in the dirt.
She’s the funniest thing though, because she’s got such the conscience. If she dumps you in the dirt, she’ll go and stand in the corner looking all sorry and sad, and she won’t perk up again until the person that fell forgives her. One time, a girl tripped and broke her arm walking out of Penny’s stall, and Penny was beside herself and not eating properly for two weeks until the girl came back. And as far as little kids go, Penny couldn’t be a better babysitter. She calms right down and plods along very slowly, let’s them pet her and tack her up without complaint, trots along and stops with the slightest cue. She’s one of the ponies that gets harder to manage the better you are as a rider, like she scales herself to your ability, which is why she’s a complete brat at times. Plus, she’s been known to beat up horses that are more than twice her size.
Anyways, Penny’s always been well loved and so many little girls love her. She makes a wonderful lesson pony.
This little pony got out of his stall (he’s been a little Houdini lately) one night a week or so ago, got into a bit of grain and a ton of hay and now he’s foundered :( Casper foundered a long time ago but he’s been fine since, but now he’s not doing to well. He’s been on stall rest for a week now and he’s looking really bored. Let’s just hope he gets better soon!
I think Arabs like this are exceptionally pretty. As in, with this kind of face shape and not the alien-eyes and massive nostrils. I like ‘refined’, not ‘extraterrestrial’.

For some reason I really love this photo.

Does anyone have any tips for watermarking something like this? I find it really hard to make it legible but still not ruin the photo on this kind of photo . And go ahead and delete this last comment if you want.

Srsly tho. My dog is the best.

He gives me high fives.

And he waves good bye.

Plus he likes dried mango and ice cream.

My dog is just standing in my room licking the floor.

Okay dog. That’s very nice of you, but I can guarantee there is no food there.

Looking for a blog to follow?

I’d highly recommend this- it’s a new blog but I’m sure they will be posting wonderful photos and information like they do on Facebook.

Mustang Monument is an eco-preserve for wild horses. They currently can support 30,000 horses and all are managed and kept healthy.
